COVID-19 AND MASSAGE THERAPY

What you need to know…..

Returning to practice for RMTs in BC has fallen into phase two. As of May 19th 2020 our operations are able to resume granted we follow guidelines and protocols set forth by our regulatory board. As well, the RMTBC has created guidelines that use resources from the Public Health Agency of Canada and the BC Centre for Disease Control and have been submitted to the BC Provinicial Health Officer and WorkSafeBC for review. A copy of all guidelines are available at the office or you can visit the RMTBC and CMTBC for more information.

If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact Stacey. staceyfiscusrmt@gmail.com 778-773-0141

Changes to expect…..

Making sure all required intake and consent forms are filled out online. If you are unable to do so paper copies will be provided at the office but please note that pens and clip boards will be disinfected after each use.

If you arrive early for your appointment please remain in your vehicle or outside the building until your scheduled time. The waiting area is a small shared space and this will help us all adhere to the recommended social distancing guidelines the best we can.

Upon entering the building please wash/sanitize your hands immediately.

Bring a mask from home. If you do not have access to one, one will be provided for you.

Please allow the RMT to open and close the office door for you.

We will be doing a COVID-19 screening prior to every treatment no matter how many times we have worked together. Part of a great Therapist-Client relationship is based on trust and clear communication so let's keep that ball rolling.

A contactless form payment is preferred (e-transfer) but other options are still available (to be noted: the the POS will be disinfected after every use).

Hand hygiene remains the same for the RMT, wash hands before and immediately after every treatment. No face touching, etc. and small washable hand towels are used to open and close doors to reduce the risk of cross contamination.

Enhanced cleaning measures have been implemented to reduce the risk of spread. This includes the treatment space, office space and washrooms.

For the health and safety of others, if you are not feeling well please stay home. If you are unwell and need to cancel your appointment there will be no cancellation fee but keep in mind that proper notice must be given. If you do not show up for your scheduled appointment you will be charged the typical ‘no show’ fee (which is 100%). Thank you for your understanding.
